World TAPS DAY is December 8 – #TAPSisSilent
World TAPS Awareness Day will help to educate parents and doctors on the life-saving measures of the MCA Doppler and provide standard of care guidelines, research protocols to stage and treat TAPS as well as document pregnancies to help further research. Families will be sharing their stories and encouraged to help increase awareness with #TAPSisSilent. There are no physical signs in the mother with TAPS and she could be told her pregnancy is progressing perfectly when her babies could be severely affected.
We are fighting for families to know the questions to ask, the tests to demand and treatments their babies might need so they don’t lose their babies before they have had a chance to save them.
Landmarks will also be lighting up light blue, the official color of the fight against TAPS. We are fighting for the day after the storm, when the skies turn blue and all babies will live and be healthy, and thrive like daisies flourishing in a field
