Dr. Khanh-Van Le-Bucklin, MD

Pediatrician and Professor at University of California, irvine

I joined the TTTS Foundation’s Medical Advisory Board because I fully support the foundation’s mission to save lives through TTTS awareness.

Dr. Khanh-Van Le-Bucklin is a mother of twins, and the author of “Twins 101: 50 Must-Have Tips for Pregnancy Through Early Childhood From Doctor M.O.M.” Her book includes a chapter promoting TTTS awareness, which she wrote in consultation with Mary. She is a pediatrician and professor at the University of California, Irvine where she oversees the education of future physicians at the medical school. She earned her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco and completed her pediatric training at Stanford University.

Dr. Le-Bucklin became a champion for TTTS awareness when she sought information about monochorionic twin pregnancies during her own pregnancy. She found a wealth of vital information through The TTTS Foundation. She has served on the TTTS Foundation’s Medical Advisory Board for over a decade as a way to champion education about TTTS and promote optimal care for families with monchorionic twin pregnancies.

One of her fondest memories is participating in The TTTS Foundation’s conference and memory walk, where she met Dr. De Lia, and bonded with Mary and other families of multiples. I was shocked to find out that I was pregnant with twins. I was even more surprised about the lack of information for parents regarding the unique aspects of monochorionic twin pregnancies.

The day I discovered The TTTS Foundation was one of the most life-changing moments of my life. The information I received from The TTTS Foundation about pregnancy care and ultrasound monitoring empowered me to serve as a knowledgeable team member in my babies’ care.
